Our Taco Party was a huge success! We raised over $2000 to help send some of our students to Japan and purchase new equipment for the dojo. It was fun for our members to demonstrate what they have learned in karate so far. They enjoyed teaching some of the audience members how to break a board.

This fall our competition team has been busy participating in both recreational tournaments and the OKF Provincial Selection tournaments. We are very proud of all our competition team members. Keep up the great work!
In August, Sempai Matthew tested for his Shodan Black Belt. We are extremely proud of him and all of his accomplishments. Thank you to Matthew's family for organizing a fun weekend cottage trip while we were in Kingston. A great experience for everyone!
Our Summer Day Camps were a ton of fun this year! Thank you to Melissa Ublansky from Kure for teaching us some Buti Yoga, Shauna Balger for showing us some fun and challenging yoga poses, and Backyard by Design for the flowers, pots, and soil!

Akillease Gallo and Matthew Digulla traveled to Edmonton, Alberta for the Karate Canada Nationals from May 1st to 6th, 2019. This was their first time competing at this level. They learned lots and ready to work hard to achieve better results next year!
