Program Description
Ages 5+ Recreational Athletes can choose to participate in smaller, local tournaments throughout the year. Athletes can choose to always compete recreationally at any age, or once they are at least 10 years old, can move up to competing as an Elite Athlete. Our coaches all have International competition experience and are educated through the National Coaching Certification Program. We encourage our older athletes to also gain leadership experience through beginner coaching courses and assisting athletes and other coaches at training sessions and tournaments. All athletes will also continue their traditional karate classes when training to compete. Competition classes are necessary to learn competition skills, but basics are always the most important. We continue to focus on SMART goal setting and each athlete has a coach dedicated to their progress and ensuring they have a positive experience throughout their competitive journey.
